| This presentation will provide an overview of the FDA’s regulatory authorities over cosmetics, including the FDA’s new authorities under the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022 (MoCRA). The presentation will address the new authorities provided to the FDA including records access and mandatory recall authority; new requirements for industry including adverse event reporting, facility registration, product listing, and safety substantiation; and the regulations that the FDA is required to establish for good manufacturing practice (GMP) requirements for facilities that manufacture cosmetic products, fragrance allergen labeling requirements, and standardized testing methods for detecting and identifying asbestos in talc-containing cosmetic products. | ||||
