GRMA operates in accordance with its tax exempt mission and objectives. GRMA neither assumes nor undertakes to discharge any duties or responsibilities of any manufacturer or any other party. GRMA specifically disclaims any and all liability or responsibility for any party’s use of or reliance upon the GRMA Certification Program or the documents which comprise the same. GRMA shall not incur any obligation or liability for any damages from any cause whatsoever, and regardless of the form of any action, including any special, collateral, incidental, punitive, indirect or consequential damages (including, but not limited to, loss of goodwill, lost profits, or loss of use), arising out of, related to or resulting from the use, interpretation of, or reliance upon the Certification Program or any Certification Program document.
The GRMA provides basic criteria to promote sanitation and protection of the public health. Provisions for mechanical and electrical safety have not been included in this Certification Program because governmental agencies or other national standards-setting organizations provide and address safety requirements. Participation in GRMA Committees or development activities by regulatory agency representatives (federal, local, state) shall not constitute their agency’s endorsement of GRMA or the Certification Program. Preference is given to the use of performance criteria measurable by examination, qualitative or quantitative analysis in the GRMA’s Certification Program development, when such performance criteria may reasonably be used in lieu of design, materials, or construction criteria. The illustrations, if provided, are provided AS IS and are intended solely to assist in understanding their adjacent requirements. However, the illustrations may not include all requirements for a specific product or unit, nor do they show the only method of fabricating such arrangements. Such partial drawings shall not be used to justify improper or incomplete design and construction. The Annexes are considered an integral part of GRMA Certification Program. The Annexes are provided only as general guidelines to the manufacturer, regulatory agency, user, or certifying body organization.
