The Global Retailer and Manufacturer Alliance, Inc. (GRMA) is excited to announce the approval of a Partner Certification Body: Perry Johnson Registrars Food Safety, Inc. for Over-the-Counter Drug, Dietary Supplements, and Cosmetic certification audit programs.

Perry Johnson Registrars Food Safety Inc. (PJRFSI) has a demonstrated history of providing value-added food safety certifications to clients with a track record of rigor and consistency throughout the certification audit process. Additionally, they are a certification body capable of executing a number of GFSI approved audit programs.

Terry Boboige, President of PJRFSI states, “We are excited to build on our food certification audit heritage and expand our capabilities into the Health & Wellness categories with the GRMA certification program and view this as a natural fit with one of our core values: protecting consumers.”

“The GRMA certification program has established a clear path forward in achieving GFSI’s Dietary Supplement Benchmark Requirements and can help retailers reduce risk within their supply chain across Over-the-Counter Drug, Dietary Supplements, and Cosmetic certification audits” said Paul Damaren, Sr. VP of PJRFSI.

In February, the ANSI National Accreditation Board opened up invitations for certification bodies to apply to the pilot accreditation program for the GRMA certification audit program. PJRFSI is committed to applying to the ANAB accreditation program and has identified over 30 auditors with the necessary qualifications for Over-the-Counter Drug, Dietary Supplements, and Cosmetic categories with plans to have over 10 auditors trained in the very near future.

“After the GRMA began to work with Perry Johnson Registrars Food Safety, Inc. team, it is clear that they are committed to providing a valuable skill set to both the GRMA Certification Program and the Retail & Manufacturer members within the Over-the-Counter Drug, Cosmetic, and Dietary Supplement categories,” stated Allyn Shultis, GRMA Treasurer.
