Two quality and regulatory executives from Lallemand Health Solutions and New Chapter join the board as GRMA expands its GMP certification and product integrity programs

King of Prussia, PA – The Global Retailer and Manufacturer Alliance (GRMA) announced the appointment of Solange Henoud, Vice President Regulatory & Compliance at Lallemand Health Solutions, and Michele Rickard, Vice President, Quality at New Chapter, Inc., to its Governance Board effective June 6, 2026.

Both directors come to the board from well established tenures in the health and wellness categories that GRMA serves, and both were active in GRMA committee work before their appointment. Their addition brings the Governance Board to ten voting members representing retailers, manufacturers, brands, and consultancies, along with the Executive Director as a non-voting ex-officio member.

Solange Henoud heads regulatory and compliance for Lallemand Health Solutions, where over 19 years she has overseen the expansion of the company’s probiotics portfolio into more than 60 countries across a range of regulatory categories. She chairs GRMA’s probiotics working group and received the GRMA Leadership award in 2023 in recognition of her committee work.

The International Probiotics Association (IPA) has been collaborating with the GRMA through the probiotic working group to incorporate the IPA probiotic manufacturing guidelines into GRMA’s GMP certification program for dietary supplements. That work brings probiotic-specific manufacturing expectations into the GRMA dieatry supplement requirements, so probiotic manufacturers are not asked to satisfy the two separately.

Michele Rickard leads quality at New Chapter, Inc., a Procter & Gamble subsidiary. With more than 25 years of experience in the health and wellness industry, she brings expertise in quality management systems governance, regulatory compliance, supplier quality, and audit readiness. An active member of GRMA’s Technical and Product Integrity Committees, Rickard holds a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and professional certifications including CMQ/OE, PCQI, and FDQI.

“GRMA has built the preeminent GMP certification program for the health and wellness categories, and it happened because industry leaders like Solange and Michele put their expertise into our committees and our standards rather than waiting for someone else to solve the problem,” said Mike Finamore, GRMA Board President and CEO of Gemini Pharmaceuticals. “Holding that position takes the same kind of leadership on the board that it took to get here, and both of them bring it in the disciplines that matter most to our members. Solange and Michele will help us carry the GMP program and the Dietary Supplement Product Integrity Program further into the supply chains that depend on them.”

GRMA’s Governance Board sets organizational strategy and oversees the GMP certification program built on the NSF/ANSI 455 family of standards, which is GFSI benchmark recognized under Scope K, along with the Dietary Supplement Product Integrity Program. Board members serve alongside GRMA’s committees and taskforces, which remain open to members interested in greater involvement.

About GRMA

The Global Retailer & Manufacturer Alliance, Inc. (GRMA) is a member-driven nonprofit and independent certification program owner serving the health and wellness categories, including cosmetics, dietary supplements, and OTC drugs. GRMA owns and administers a GMP certification program built on the NSF/ANSI 455 family of standards, which were developed through an accredited consensus process with participation from retailers, manufacturers, brands, and certification bodies. The GMP program is GFSI benchmark recognized under Scope K, and GRMA also operates a product integrity program for dietary supplements that extends assurance from the manufacturing facility to the finished product.

GRMA’s membership brings together manufacturers, brands, retailers, certification bodies, laboratories, and industry organizations, and its retailer members include large omni-channel players along with national and international retail chains. That mix is what allows GRMA to write requirements that satisfy manufacturer, regulatory, and retailer expectations at the same time, so a single audit can serve many customers rather than one.

Members participate in GRMA committees and workgroups, the annual GRMA Summit, and the member spotlight program. More information is available at grmalliance.org.
