We are excited to report that the Pilot Audit program based on the new standards is in full swing! Pilot Auditor Training was conducted the first week of October, and all three audit teams are scheduled for their pilot audit. The first audit will take place the last week of October, and the final audit will be conducted in the second week of November.

The pilot audit teams consist of a retailer, manufacturer and certification body. Each audit will be observed by a GRMA and ANSI observer. It is the goal of the pilot audits to help establish a high-quality audit scheme program. We will use the information to enhance training, the audit platform (GRMAuditsphere) and to gather benchmark information on the entire audit integrity program.

The three pilot teams are USP, PharmaVite and Costco; UL, Gemini Pharmaceuticals and Walgreens Boots Alliance, and NSF, NexGen and H.E.B. In addition to these teams, there have been many other GRMA members who have been helping to develop the auditor training, and observe the audits to provide valuable feedback.

This has been a truly collaborative effort and the board and staff of the GRMA wish to thank everyone involved for their hard work! We look forward to communicating with you on the outcomes of the pilots!
